We
Can Remake Your Smile!
We know you want to feel good about your smile, and we can
give you the beautiful, healthy smile you have always
wanted. Achieving that smile is easier, more affordable, and
less time consuming than you may imagine. Come into our
office and let us tell you about our restorative techniques
for whitening, veneers, crowns, and bonding.
Will You Need a Crown?
If areas of a tooth are worn down or broken off, a crown,
sometimes referred to as a cap, can be placed over the
remaining tooth structure to save and strengthen it. Today’s
crowns are made to have a very accurate fit and restore the
full functionality of a tooth. They look so good, no one
will know it is not your natural tooth.
'Smile
Makeovers’ in Only Two Visits!
We have your answer to correct misshapen teeth, unsightly
gaps, or severe discoloration. The solution may be veneers –
thin coverings made from porcelain that are applied over and
bond to your natural teeth. They are made from the highest
quality dental ceramic and are durable, functional, and give
you the ideal smile you’re looking for.

Start
Early with a Full Range of Orthodontic Options
As recommended by the American Association of Orthodontists,
it is important that children receive an orthodontic
evaluation by age 7, when they have both baby and permanent
teeth. Dr. Smith is our orthodontist, and he has extensive
knowledge in the development of craniofacial growth
patterns. He can easily identify problems with the jaw and
teeth to correct them in the early stages, which saves you
time and money.
After examination, Dr. Smith can correct the problems of
crowding, cross bites, and malocclusion of lower and upper
jaws generally in 6 – 18 months, which is less time than it
would take during teen years. Early correction can also
prevent extractions of permanent teeth and more
time-consuming procedures later on that can cost
considerably more money.
Early treatment or interceptive orthodontics brings another
benefit for your child, as all the corrections are completed
before they enter high school. They will have fantastic
smiles for high school plays and prom or yearbook photos!

Chad
Schnabel, DMD, received
his bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University, his
dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina,
and his general practice residency at Richland Memorial
Hospital in Colombia. Dr. Schnabel has completed over 500
hours of continuing education in the last three years. His
recent postgraduate education has focused on cosmetic and
implant dentistry as well as sedation, TMJ therapy, sleep
apnea, and snoring treatment, to enable him to supply his
patients with personalized solutions for a wide variety of
oral issues, often restoring years of neglect to bring a
youthful smile.
Dr. Schnabel is an active participant in the community,
volunteering as a community care mentor and small group
leader at Savannah Christian Church. He has served on
Christian mission trips to third-world countries and is a
member of the Rotary Club. He and his wife Alexandra have
two beautiful children, and in his spare time, he enjoys
spending time with them, playing tennis or golf, or watching
football.
Alexandra Schnabel, DMD,
earned her bachelor of science degree at the
University of Georgia. She then attended the Medical
University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine,
where she graduated at the top of her class. Dr. Schnabel
was selected to be in Omicron Kappa Epsilon, an elite dental
honor society. She also earned awards in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Schnabel feels blessed to be a wife and mom to two
wonderful boys. She has participated in mission trips to
several Third World countries and appreciates the
opportunity to be a Sunday school teacher for the 2- and
3-year-olds at her church. Though she no longer plays the
level of tennis that earned her first team All-SEC honors
while competing at the University of Georgia, she still
enjoys tennis with her husband and watching her two boys run
around the court. In addition to tennis, Dr. Schnabel enjoys
being on the water and has recently taken up
bread making.
Douglas
E. Smith, DDS, earned his dental degree from
the Emory University School of Dentistry after obtaining his
undergraduate education from Livingston State Teacher’s
College and Georgia State University. He went on to obtain a
certificate of advanced graduate study in orthodontics at
the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. In Dr.
Smith’s postgraduate training, he has specifically selected
courses focusing on orthodontics and dental sleep medicine.
He is dedicated not only to providing his patients with
healthy, beautiful smiles, but providing an alternative
treatment for sleep apnea leading to many nights of restful
sleep.
Dr. Smith is an active participant in the community,
volunteering for Meals on Wheels and the Isle of Hope United
Methodist Church. He and his wife Cynthia have four
beautiful children, and in his spare time he enjoys
gardening, tennis, and family.
